Will it fit my car?
The hard bottom measures 51" long by 23.6" wide and fits compact and midsize sedans, plus compact, midsize and full-size SUVs. Measure the width of your back seat before ordering — vehicles with captain's chairs, an oversized center console, or an unusually narrow rear bench can be a tight fit.
How do I clean it?
This is the part most owners dread, and it's the reason we built it this way. The top blanket lifts off and goes straight into your washing machine — you never have to wrestle the whole extender. The waterproof base underneath wipes clean with a damp cloth, and hair comes off with a quick vacuum.
My dog is big and doesn't sit still. Will it hold?
The base is rated to 400 lbs, so weight isn't the issue — movement is. That's why the base is reinforced to stay rigid under a dog shifting around, not just resting, and why the top blanket is high-friction rather than smooth. Your dog's paws catch instead of sliding out from under them on corners.
How long does it take to install?
Under two minutes and no tools. Loop the adjustable straps over your headrests, clip the buckles, and tuck the seat anchors into the crease of the bench. It arrives ready to use — no assembly.
Will it protect my doors too?
Yes. The zippered side flaps come up over your door cards and armrests, which is the area most seat covers leave completely exposed. They also stop your dog from slipping down into the footwell.
Does it smell when it arrives?
A slight “new product” smell may be noticeable when first opened due to the packaging and materials. Simply unpack your ComfortRide™, let it air out in a well-ventilated area for a few hours, and the smell should fade quickly.
